      i ahve a chip both jet and 60*v6 forsale if u want ether of them, also coils, as mentioned earlier. for the 60* chip (6500rpm rev limiter, and no speed limiter)

          could i do a 3400 top end on my 3.1 to increse horsepower also would I use the head gasket set for a 3.1 or a 3400

            IIRC for a 3100 is the gasket you'd use. You'll need custom length pushrods but its been discussed and measured many a time before.

              could i do a 3100 top end swap with fel pro gaskets want some performace but don't know if i want to stick a lot of $$$ in to it

                hey them coils are they accel by any chance and are they the GM DEI Coils that work on pretty much all GM DEI ne ways will they should work for the Lq1 right? if so and he doesnt want them for his 3.1 how much will u let the 3 go for?

                  yeah you can do a 3100 top end. The best ones are 2000+ because they use the same heads and intakes as the 3400. And actually in 2000+ the 3100/3400 upper intake is a little better too.

                  The 94-99 3100 is called "small port" since it has smaller intake manifolds, and it also has a smaller intake valve. The 94-95 3100's also don't have roller fulcrum rockers.

                    you'll have to get different coolant hoses, power steering pump, 3x00 timing cover....here's everything you'll need to know: http://www.domesticcrew.com/660/ click the bubble on the left side of the screen that says "hybrid".
