I see that there are now spacers in stock. I'm going to order a set, but i have a question about them though. I searched and couldn't find much info about the install. Will I have any issues with my coil pack bracket or anything else for that matter?

Just snagged my set. I think I'll mention that they're available over on NAIOA and 2kmc.

I don't think the 2 plenum bolts for the DIS bracket will line up, but it won't hurt anything. I have a motor here I want to test fit to be certain but im in the middle of assembling throttle bodies right now.

If they don't line up, then what should be done to the bracket. Can I open up the holes on the bracket so they line up better. Make new holes maybe? I'm not too familiar with the plenum or how it is bolted in. I've never taken mine off.

I'd unbolt the 2 lower ones and add in some spacers to raise the bracket a little.. then bolt in the top like it was before. should work out perfect.

Ok, that sounds simple enough. Thanks Alot.

Not that I have tried this, but I could see with some creative bending and force with the factory bracket no new spacers should be needed. as you flatten out the OEM backet the distance between the holes will become farther apart, thus allowing you to bend the tabs and get them to lay flat against the studs and bolt bosses again.

I can't see anything else having an issue.

I updated it with what I did to install them on a 3100 I have in the garage. I hope this helps.

I read the updated product info and the pictures are a big help. I went and looked at my monte earlier today. It looks like some creative bending will have to take place in order to install the alternator bracket. Also, the alternator bracket looks to bolt on top of the nut holding the UIM in place. Are the supplied bolts long enough to bolt down both the bracket and the UIM? I can post pics if you wanna see what it looks like.

Im not sure if they are long enough to go through the bracket or not. I don't know if the bracket will sit on top of the LIM now instead of on top of the nut that was on the bolt. The bracket I have was for the old small port manifold I think. Its a hybrid 94/01 motor so I can't verify the alt bracket. I know I am not the only one to drive around without the back alt bracket on the DOHC so this shouldn't be any big deal either really.

Maybe i can just get a longer stud and use a stud instead of the bolt on that particular one. Then all i'd have to do is bend the bracket. I just don't like the idea of driving around with stuff unbolted.
