No, they use an older computer that I haven't messed with. I don't have the code or a scanner for it.

'93 Sunbird. 5spd, 3.1, it's fast. Oh, and 240k miles has proven lethal against Turbo Talons

I'm lurking occasionaly. It's tough because I'm usually too busy with the Army or my 5.0 Mustang. Which is for sale.

More overall peak power, and more power down low looks nice! Good optimization there!

Yeah the power drop off at higher RPM is due to the gen2 intake manifolds/etc. If you did a gen3 top end swap you'd have plenty of power up top. Actually my gen3 motor seems to really wake up at 3,000rpms. Kind of backwards from the gen2 stuff. Sometimes it's almost like "vee-tek" as sometimes it doesn't run as good as other days and will be slow until that magical 3k rpm then bam. But it's still got plenty of power before 3k, it's not like it's dead on it's feet.

Mine has tons of torque off idle, and does great to about within 500 R's of redline. Then it falls on it's face unless i let off the throttle just a BIT to let it shift. Then it literally torque-steers into second, and takes off like a bat outta hell. And so forth thru all the gears. But I will be selling this car eventually to fix up my 13 second GTZ, so I am not gonna dick around with new heads, intake, ex. manifolds etc

me too, lots of torque off idle to 3K rpm, then ramps up quicker to about 4200rpm, then still makes power to 5300rpm, but not as quickly.

Turns I do, in fact, have plenty of upper-RPM pull. Me and my best friend pulled hardcore on a high '90's 323i today four consecutive times. This was BEFORE the 323i owner flipped us off as we laughed at him

the custom one, because it disabled the speed limiter and set the rev limiter to 6500rpm i say $50 would be a sufficient price.

You have a 3100 though. I have a 3.1. Besides, I am unfortunatly getting rid of the car next Wednesday. I am picking up another GTZ. But I will get another GP. But it WILL be another 5spd car. But thanks

                              Oh nice!
Out of curiousity, why did you set the rev limiter to 6500 if the car stops pulling around 5200, give or take?

because when i run it to 6000rpm i get better times at the track. bout .1 in the 1/4 mile, gives a better 2nd gear pull.
