I could have the upper done in an hour if I had that hour....

Nothing wrong with my harness its a second setup I'm doing for a second customer.

Never did a write up because I tried explaining it once and it went right over their head and I'm not sure if its something easy for everyone to grasp... I could definately try to snap enough pics of this one to show people.

Inside a 99 4t60e transmission that is... I didnt specify, I really like the 1-2 sprag in the 99, which changes the Final drive ring and whatnot, and also I like the chain style they use, its a "rigid" design. Acumulator pumps are different too, but I'm not sure of the advantage if there is one yet.

3400-95-Modified what head lower and upper gaskets are you using? 3400? The 3500 gasket set is an arm and a leg!

3400 head gaskets and 3500 lower and upper gaskets... and yes the intake gaskets were like 130 or something like that... Felpro doesn't have a set yet IIRC... Unless that has changed since I bought mine in March.

Oh you have to use 3500 lower and upper if your doing 3500 heads and lower intake.

Am I the only guy who thinks that two racks of ITBs would look friggin awesome on that motor?

Yeah ITB's would be sweet. Might even fit under the stock hood if done right.

I like that paint scheme Jon, nice job. So you used the 3500 UIM gasket? You could of used the 3400 gasket, but the port is smaller, and so I guess the gasket match is opened up more using the 3500 UIM gasket..

Oh yes the 3500 gasket opens it up so much. hell a 3400 gasket fits a 3400 lower amost perfect, minimal grinding needs to be done to port match it. If you go to a 3500 gasket you neet to take off at least an 1/8 of material on each side... Its way bigger now, but really thats only the mating port, it still needs to be crammed down to fit into the head intake port... Gasket matching those was minimal metal removal as well, but I did remove some big bumps that were in the lower going to the head.

I wonder if going to the 3500 gasket match for the upper & lower interface really helps much if you don't open up the whole runner. Since it tapers down quite quickly. I just did the 3400 gasket on mine. The 3400 lower didn't require much but the 3500 upper sure did have a lot of material to come off.

well i just had an 07 rustang GT for display to high schoolers to get them interested in the college, ALL of the pulleys had rust and it was just delivered from the factory, the crank was the worst...now that is sad, but not a shame because i dont like the blue oval

Thats just a test hand crank pulley... The FFP UDP that is currently on my 3400 will be going on this hybrid when it goes in, and hell if I have time I may polish it up

Well this is how she currently sits....

The car was parked last tuesday since after my latest Lebanon Valley meet one of the head gaskets started seeping and it was burning coolant. No overheating, it would just skip ocasionally and puff steem

It hasnt been driven since Tuesday, and I hope to have the motor in it by wednesday if everything goes well this week. So far things are looking good.

Soon it gets to play with this
