  • 96 3100 o2 2nd o2 sensor

My 96 beretta has a 3100 and i removed the cat and resinator. after the cat was an o2 sensor. i took it out and unplugged it for now. i was wondering if i put it back in my exhaust if it would adjust the a/f ratio wrong because there is no cat. i dont want to loose performance by putting it back in, can anyone help me out here?

you'll get a code for low catalyst efficiency. The easiest solution I have for you is to buy this:

The largest supplier of aftermarket performance parts for 3800, Ecotec, Sonic/Cruze, and ATS vehicle platforms. We engineer unique parts in house that you won't find anywhere else!

It does work, and a good price compared to others.

Oh and to answer your question, the downstream O2 should have no effect on the engine fueling.

Will that work for a 96? Lists only 97+ GP's...

yeah it'll work, I've used it with a '96 PCM in my Olds. That company is L67/Grand Prix biased, so the universe didn't exist before 1997.
