should have just gotten some comp cams shims, theyre cheap and fit..
heat up the aluminum around the seat and use a press, thats the easiest way. to get them back in without breaking a sweat, put the new seats in a freezer over night, and then heat the head around the hole for the seat, then just drop the seat in and itll make a perfect interference fit.

this is an 03+ motor, IIRC they dont fit without modification... But then again I could be wrong since there is not thread showing you what ones fit with no problems and what ones dont fit and what years... there are like 6 threads you need to read through to kind of understand it.

they do make seats now that work also, instead of the shims, they are the ls series seats from comp, pn 4705-12, they arent on the comp site for some reason, but you can go to www.sdpc2000.com enter the number and they show as 31.99 for them, they locate the spring and are a .060 shim in the process, IIRC, and they fit with no mod, ill be putting them on soon

Just to be clear, he's talking about valve spring seats, not valve seats right? Might confuse some people.

Yes he is referring to spring seats...

I dont think anyone in their right mind would try to change valve seats themselves...

the '91 2.2L Exhaust seals will fit your heads fine. I installed them on a pair of 2002 3400 heads and a pair of 2004 3500 heads. I highly reccomend them. I'm also using the .015" copper Comp Cams shims on the 3500 heads.

I've heard of too many people having problems with the 318 seals. I prefer my cars not to smoke.
