  • if anyone wants forged 3500 pistons get in now

k, if anyone wants pistons the batch is almost being made.

these will be for 4.3 rods that will fit the 3500 crank. 5.7 rods, 9.0 compression with a 20 overbore.

probably about 90 each with pin, maybe even less depending on the intrest. and im getting total seal rings.
let me know if youa re interested.

you probably have about 2 weeks before the piston making machine turns on.

I am guessing you are adding .20 to the hieght of the piston to compensate for the shorter rod?

you are guessing wrong. the pin height is going down. there is not much clearance between the crank and the bottom of the piston and if we move the rod down this should keep the piston to crank clearance the same. .20 would be nice to add to the top to help with a stronger piston but then i feel that the piston would hit the crank.

if you plan to use a 5.7 inch rod with the same CH on the piston for a 5.9 rod, then your piston will sit .2 lower in the block.

What I am asking is did you take this into consideration when specing your new pistons?

I dont' see how adding CH will make the piston hit the crank.
