I'm using #24 DOHC injectors in place of the #24 3500 injectors... just because i had to use a 3400 fuel rail. Hopefully they're enough...

so your saying to get a stock regulator and remove the top section leaving the lower setup and diaphram in place and bolt the adjustable setup on to the top of it. correct? even using a slightly used regulator would work too i would think.

my fuel system is a return system. what if anything would change if i used or chaged the fuel rails i am using now to make it a returnless system, say by using a pipe thread cap to close off the return end of the rail and doing the same on the return line? that in theory keep more fuel and pressure in the rail also. should it not?

ok looking on summit racing.com found that accel makes a stock replacment injector for the 95 3100. and it is rated at 17lbs/hr so azrael was correct. heres the link to the page.

go to the link on that page for "check to make sure this part fits your application" and it has

        stock replacement yes
        begining year 94
        ending year 96

and then again they may be rated at stock psi?

i also looked at fiveomotorsport.com and they have alot of injectorsat resonable prices. saw a bosch set of injectors for 91-95 s/c 3.8 on there page. then lloked the # up on

that says there for the 4.3 turbo rated 32lbs/hr@45psi
same injector or is someones info off.
would these injectors work for my application?

Does anyone know info on ford "yellow top" injectors, like flow rating and if they can be used on a GM (providing the dimensions are correct)?

using accel for "stock replacement" ratings is not going to determine what stock was. Stock 3.1 is 16.6#. 96-99 3400 are 19# and 00+ 3100 and 3400 are 22.5# with the pressure increase. I have no reason to believe 94-99 3100 was 19# as well.

You need a different pump I bet for a returnless setup. I don't think its as simple as just eliminating the return line.

The yellow tops are 19# which are 21# in a GM. I used them on a 3.1.

since i am still running the 95 injectors with the pressure regulator shouldn't i eliminate the regulator when i change to a newer style injector to get the pressure there tested and rated for. i did have a adjustable regulator but i removed it after the diafram below out after 3 monthes of use. i believe it was the same style regulator that is on the 60*v6 store. have not been able to locate a rebuild kit for it either.

Can't use 3500 injectors. As to which ones would be a better choice, that depends on a lot like what kind of setup are you running. NA or boost? How much HP you planning on making? You could get 28lb/hr injectors from the 4.2L inline six in the trailblazer. They are a direct replacement for the 22lb 3400 injectors. If you need something bigger you can get 36lb injectors from the supercharged 3800. Or you could get 42lb or 60lb injectors. Those all have bosch style clips.

I am using a caspers adjustable FPR. They don't make them anymore iirc, but a few places still have some in stock. Or you can just get a cap like sappy is talking about. Either one, you just need something that increases the pressure correctly under boost. I've read a few places that they don't recommend running higher than 60psi fuel pressure if you can help it because it's supposed to be hard on the pump and injectors. If you have to run that high pressure, they say to get bigger injectors and lower the base pressure and adjust your injector pulse as needed.

well it is not a boost setup at present but it will be hopefully in the near future. right know its going to be a 3400 bottom/3500 top end/35 shot nos
with after market fuel management. so the s/c 3800 injectors/4.2 injectors will work on the 3100 gen2/ 3400 gen 3 rails? connectors?

the pressure regulator i had i bought from caspers it lasted a whole 3 months. i plan on getting a adjustable cap from vortec they have some nice anodized ones that are easy to resuse with no drilling.
