  • Benifits to the 3500 Valves and Titanium parts

Is there any real advantages to me using the 3500 valves in my 3400 heads on my Hybrid Build?

Also should I max out on the Titanium Parts for my Valvetrain?
I dont know what this means but "ASS HATS" is funny

I would use as many titanium parts as you can in the valvetrain if you are going for performance build. If for a stock rebuild to get around town then I say no.

The 3500 valves are good for weight reduction. I like the stainless single piece design because of the extra material there to reshape the backside of the valve. They weigh a bit more though so thats something to consider. Another thing to consider is the ramp up rate on your cam and the springs you are going to run (and pushrods for that matter when you go to stiffer springs). Id like to know what the valvetrain weight of the LS1 motor is as well as seat to seat and .050 cam spec numbers for one of those comp cams. I am fairly certain their larger valves are going to weigh more than ours and our pushrods are shorter as well (less flex).

As shaun said, if you are building it for power/7000 RPM use, I would get all the titanium you can. Titanium valves aren't going to be cheap though.

Am I going to have to do some machine work to the 3500 valves if I use them in the 3400 heads?

As for the titanium parts. where would I find them for the retainers etc. as where can I buy them? do you sell them as well?
