Been looking a lot a pistion and rod options. Just for the hell of it. And I do believe that we ma have a different rod pistion option combo.... Though yet tested.
An option is using the 2.8L pistons which sit a rounded off number of 4 mm. lower on the piston than on the 3.1L. This is due to the different stroke on the crankshaft.
Standard rod is 5.7
Chevy stroker Center 5.565", Rod 2.1000", Pin 0.9270", Weight 630G.
This rod looks like it could be used to get a 2.8L forged piston with a flat top giving you a bump in compression
I haven't checked fit but you can get a set of H beams on ebay in this size for $300
Changes motor how ???
Should rev quicker Less torque more horse.... at higher rpms... It will load the piston walls in different spots but should be fine for general road duty...
