I think what i need is a 2.8 piston with a 3.609" diameter right? that way the piston comes to the top of the block and will give the correct deck clearance but with a shorter stroke using the original Rods.
    Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Calculator

    V6 deck height is 8.818. 2.8 throw is 1.496. Rod length is 5.700.

    8.818 - (1.496 + 5.700) = 1.622 compression height.
    92 mm bore / 25.4 mm/in = 3.622
    You'll probably want .005 - .010 overbore, though.

    Where on earth did you get 3.609?
    Current:
    \'87 Fiero GT: 12.86@106 - too dam many valves; ran 12.94 @ 112 on new engine, then broke a CV joint
    \'88 Fiero Formula: slow and attention getting; LZ8 followed by LLT power forthcoming
    \'88 BMW 325iX: The penultimate driving machine awaiting a heart transplant

    Gone, mostly forgotten:
    \'90 Pontiac 6000 SE AWD: slow but invisible

      getting the 2.5l crank may not be that hard. its kinda like the toyota cavalier parts (for those that dont know, 97-2000 gm sold RHD cavaliers under the toyota name in japan). there are north american gm part numbers for all the tail lights, head lights, fenders, trunk carpet, ect, you just gotta be able to get a hold of the part numbers. im sure if you could get a part number, and im sure it does exist, you would be able to order one of those cranks.

      another option would be to import an entire motor from china. enough people do that with japaneese engines
