anyways, I'd recommend going with the LS1 springs, honestly, just to cut out the valve float at high RPM's
well im building my 4t45 for just my type of driving and punishment, which is alot, so i know it will hold up, give me a little time and ill post #s and hopefully offer perf rebuilds(if i can ever get pricing right)

also when i put the p/n off that other thread 12586484 it shows as they are the same as the LS2 springs, are those the new style LS6 springs that i saw on here are a diff design that wont fit, only the 03 and older springs will fit???
The older LS6 and the new LS2 springs are exactly the same. They just started painting them different colors when they switched engines. The titanium retainers from comp cams are part# 754-1 for a single ($19.53 ea.) or 754-16 for a set of 16 ($312.4.

yah, if you want a better buy on the titanuim retainers, i have a better price than this one, but go to www.sdpc2000.com, they have them for like $282 plus shipping, i think my price is a little better if anyone needs, or wants them, i can find out exactly what my price is, i usually get a 15-20% discount over the $282. that is for the set of 16, so im sure i could get the singles for less also, they show on there for 17.99 a piece

im almost done with the piecing together of the spring parts, only the seats are left now

lighter weight, its not all about strength, havent u heard the many rantings on here bout reducing the valvetrain weight on the valve side can help gain power, gain revs and get you good credit???

and of course now i ask the question...has anyone had any extra noise/probs with the ls6 springs on stock lift cams or higher lift cams

Shouldn't. There is no damper in there for there to be added friction and noise. Never heard anything in the cars that had those springs either.
