The cores Crane has can't be ground to my specs.. aparently the minium lift they can go is .437 tappet lift, .700@ valve. The cores were made and partially finished. He said it would be too thin if he ground it to my specs.
I've been calling around to a bunch of places and may have some leads. Maybe something to discuss with Ben for the 60v6store as well. I'll post up more info later.
Thats really kinda surprising. Wonder why they made them so huge? They're going to have a hard time selling them with those kind of specs. They'll be sitting on those things forever if you can't have them ground for any less than .7" of lift, thats rediculous.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

The regrind I ran started to give me brake booster problems. My duration was 230 I and 236 E. Anyone going higher than that better make provisions for an auxillary vacuum tank. FYI my cam was reground by Crane and I did put over 40,000 miles on it with no issues.IMHO I'll take an assembled cam for its lower weight. To me they are all about as strong as they need to be. Also Spring force is regenerative, but the energy required to start rotating a cam is not. Eliminate weight where you can. BTW running LS6 springs and high lifts, I started bending regular Crane pushrods, going to have find something stronger.Lorenzo
