performance cam or B...hit ?

can someone tell me if the cam in my fiero
is a perf.cam ?

the number on it says : 1379 or1879...the guy that sold me the car
said there is a perf.cam in it

??? Measure it. Use a dial indicator and measure the cam off of a flat surface on something like a table saw table or drill press table. You can get a good enough measurement to tell if it is stock or not. Measure the base and zero the dial indicator and then measure to the tip of the lobe.

it says GM on it so..it could be of a 3.4 v6 right.

those cams are used as a performance cam in the 2.8/3.1 I thought.

BTW. what do you mean by dial indicator ?
I've never heard of it.

the 3.4l got the same cam as the 2.8ho, and thats the same cam thats in the 2.8/3.1 gen 2 motor.

the 3.4ht crate motor got a better cam.

The specs on the crate cam are 427/454 216 dur/107 lsa,crane has a cam with he same specs except it has a 112 lsa. Chose depending on whether you want power mid-range or topend.
