  • 3.1 lumina crank in a rwd 2.8?

Will the 3.1 multipoint lumina crank fit in a 2.8 block. The 2.8 is in a blazer, so the FWD lumina block won't have the same motor mounts.

    What year 2.8L?

If your blazer is has a 1 piece rear main seal then yes it will fit and work fine. But you will need different pistons froma RWD 3.1L

What is the difference in the pistons? Can I use the lumina ones?

The pistons for the 3.1 are shorter since the stroke is longer... and pistons for aluminium head engines are dished, so if you use the Lumina pistons, your compression will be WAY low.

Well, that is 60 more horses than I have now
I don't think the crank is gonna happen -the donor car was an abandoned vehicle. Called the cops to see if it was stolen, they said it wasn't on the list, but frowned on the idea of my pulling things off of it.

Hmmm. Wel the best option is to look out for a 3.4L from a 1993 to 1995 Camaro.

I did the swap and the power increase it insane. I can beat brand new 4.3L Vortecs

What fuel system does it have? My Blazer is carb'd. I hear the carb system will just bolt on and the engine looks like the original 2.8 and passes emissions.

I am using my TBI System

Yes a Carb will work great too.

Here is the low down on the swap. http://members.shaw.ca/betterthanyou...ine%20swap.htm

It is highly recomended you get a Weber carb. They perform excellent.
