yeah im going to do the topend swap,but im looking into doing the 3500 topend swap now,with the iron heads @18 psi this car is knocking on breaking into the high 11's,still havent sprayed the 50 shot on the car yet,was always afriad of lifting the heads off,but i attempted it on the dyno last weekend @ 10psi and broke the trans.my goals are solid 11.50's only cause i dont want to install a roll cage into the car since it is my daily driver,but if i can get better then 11.50's out of it i will put one in

here is one way, I just noched that out then welded a peice in and the distributior fits and moves enought to time it..

hey do u have anypics of that before u welded on the plenum for the carb,
that pic just gave me a great idea.i could do just about the same thing,and use one of those carb to efi conversion throttle bodie adapters.ill see if i can dig up a pic
