I am assuming that you plan to have these manifolds cast correct?

Also I am not sure if the super coupe used a bypass valve, but I would highly recommend using one for this setup. http://www.magnusonproducts.com/bypass.htm

Also, a few other cheap eaton superchargers are as follows

M90 from the GM 3800 engines (down side is that the way it mounts might be too wide for the 60*v6 heads.

M62 from a nissan frontier/xtera very cheap and easy to find. If you are interested I can take measurements as I have on in the garage.

Or the M112 from a Ford mustang or lightening pickup would be awesome, they are currently running around $350 - $500

kflo - As Brad was saying, it isn't extremely tall. I am planning to build a billet prototype in Jan/Feb and will have a better idea of how to proceed when that is finished.

Brad - Thats good to hear about the Beretta hood clearance. As you can see in the pic, only a small section is at the highest point and the rest is about 3/8 less.

I appreciate your offer and keep it in mind. Sounds like a good idea with the embedded viewer. A week long convention in Vegas also sounds good to me. Must be nice.

Phil - If all goes as planned, they will be cast. In the beginning, I will build some from billet and compare the extra machining cost to the cost of tooling to make the castings.

The SC does ave a bypass but it is part of a larger casting. I am planning to employ a bypass but just not sure where it will be yet.

I think the L67 SC is too wide for sure. Space is really tight with the 60 degree layout and the location of the injectors. If you could take a couple of pics and some rough outer measurements of the M62, I would love to see them. Although I belive the M90 would be better for a non intercooled application, some people may want to use the M62.

If the price is less than $1,500 I would get one.

Azreal, I definitely wouldn't use an M62 for this. I have one... it's pretty much maxed out. It's only good on an engine this size for about 9psi of boost before it starts getting out of it's efficiency zone. With an M90 it's a larger blower so technically it will take more power to turn, but it will also create more boost at lower rpm which=higher efficiency and less heat. Plus it's nice to have the option of running higher boost before maxing out the blower.

This would definitely be a more interesting setup than most peoples idea of just putting them on top of the UIM. It might just clear the stock hood, and certainly the aftermarket hoods many people already have. Might change if u add an intercooler, but hey that would be an option right?

The only two things that concern me would be the PS pump and the belt drive. I wouldn't want to eliminate the PS on a street car and there's really no place else to put it unless you eliminate the A/C maybe? On a drag car it wouldn't matter. For the belt drive I wouldn't run it off the same serpentine belt as the other accessories or it's gonna have problems slipping. It needs a seperate pulley and tensioner like the GTP's have. Depending on which other pulley it gets driven off of, that could cause frame clearance issues in some cars. It'll be interesting to see how you approach that. As always, you come up with the coolest stuff.

I would be totally interrested. The price would be my only deteriming factor. I thought that the 3800 gm M90 was more efficient than the M90 from the ford?

So from what I see, you'll be flippin the SC upside down? The out let on the bottom?

Correct... from what I've read, Eaton says it can be rotated any angle. The only problem is the oil fill plug is upside down. I believe that can be resolved by adding an extra filler plug in the cover.

                    Does anyone have the specifics...

....I would like to run the supercharger through my engine pro. I need belt ratio, Island CFM, and compressor map if possible. It would make around 250-260 without a problem.

i would be interested. just in a few years, dont have the money right now, i am still in college.

from what i hear the options for my 2004 monte carlo 3.4 for supercharging is pretty limited to one unit and from what i hear it poor quality and overrides alot of engine functions to make it work. which i am not too happy with

Has any attempt or progress been made on this yet? Just a way to mount the charger on the manifold so that it lines up with the accessory pullies. I would be willing to front some $$ assuming that it could be created in a reasonable amount of time.
