  • 3.9L Head/ 3.5L Block

I am sorry to see thread shut down just when the CNCguy was about to post a picture of the 3.5L gasket on the 3.9L head. Hopefully he will post a picture. While a 3.9L head and intake would not benifit a near stock 3.4/3.5L engine it could be great for a race engine. The smaller engines have race cams, pistons and rods available. An 8000rpm race engine could be potent. Again, I hope he posts. I'd be happy to send a 3.4 and 3.5L gasket if needed. The answer could be important to some of us.

Thanks, but no need to send one, SuperDave already sent one from a 3500.

I need to get some pics posted but things do not look good for this combo. The valves would easily clear but the combustion chamber is much larger and overlaps the cylinder wall. About one half of the head gasket bead would be sticking into the combustion chamber.

Perhaps the LZ-5 (VVT 3500) will be the engine of choice for higher RPM applications with its shorter stoke. I am curious as to the heads and intake setup that it uses. The pics I have seen show it using the old style 3500 (LX-9) UIM which makes me wonder about the rest of the engine top end.
