  • L82 is Gen III?

    It is, isn't it?

    Does it have sequential injection?

I'm considering ECM's to use with my 6000 AWD turbo 3100 project, and I would like sequential injection to make the most of the poor fuel mileage I get with the three speed auto. Is the '94-'95 3100 computer sequential?
I was considering that because TunerCat has a definition file for it: $1FA, which would make adapting it to my needs MUCH simpler than without.

\'88 Fiero Formula: slow and attention getting; LZ8 followed by LLT power forthcoming
\'88 BMW 325iX: The penultimate driving machine awaiting a heart transplant

    Gone, mostly forgotten:

Yeah both gmtuners and tunercat list the 94-95 century and ciera 3100s as being supported. What am I missing here?

Nothing, you CAN tune those as they are OBD1 memcal. It is the only exception to the 94-95 3100 computers being untunable.

I haven't used the software but unless it has VE tuning with the maf scaling, its worthless. If it has the VE (lv8 ) i would love to see it

Some 3100's have flash memory, some have EPROMs. If yours has an EPROM, you can tune it.

Sappy, what do you mean by "VE tuning with the maf scaling"? From the other info I've found, it's MAF only and doesn't have a MAP sensor at all.

It still calculates load from MAF and RPM and TPS or whatever. I don't know how it does it, but there is a table called LV8 which is you load based number.

My cutlass is dead on for MAF tables, but the INT follows the LV8 almost 100% (BLM locked). Tuning the MAF tables could make acceleration better for fueling but then everything else would be way out anyway.
