Hey. I had this on W-body.com but they are switching servers right now so...A friend and i are trying to figure out why his mom's 05 Impala's, 3400, speedo is going crazy. We found out where the "Speed gear sensor", the thing that tells the speedo how fast the car is going, is located. The car will be driving along, at the appropriate speed, and then all of a sudden the speedo will jump to 100 and try to roll over, then it will stop working all together then start working again, it will then repeat itself eventually, in no certain order. We are working on in between me typing so a quick answer would be nice. We need to know before we replace the sensor if it could be anything else, fuse maybe??? Any ideas? Thanks alot.
