Show me a bone stock 3400 pushing 197 to the ground. No freakin way. Its 175 stock rated from GM at the crank. With tuning I can believe 185 range at best, perhaps 190, chp.

But we also know that GM tends to under rate their engines.

Auto makers use an SAE test for computing horsepower. It gives hp numbers about 4% lower than dyno numbers.

Well, that is true. Phil had 5 degrees KR minumum on his stock dyno runs. That was a mustang dyno as well which usually gives lower numbers than the hydraulic based machines. They also require correction factors for the fluid temp vs electric dynos.
