3.4 swap chip

if i install a bone stock 3.4l in place of my 2.8 with a port to match 4.3 tb would i need to chip the ecm to pass emissions?

Im not sure about a 4.3 TB on a 3.4. Are you talking iron head 3.4? Im not sure where you would get a chip tuned for that application.

yea the 4.3 tb will be easy all i have to do is port the 2.8 intake manifold to match. i know a lot of ppl have used 4.3 injectors with the 2.8 tb to run this swap. but i was just wondering if any one has found a chip or program for the ecm to make this swap run better and pass emissions.

No worries on passing emissions. It will pass with flying colours as long as your old equipment works. You can see my Air Care reading on my website for all the years it was on the road. In my province my truck gets tested every 2 years. I run 4.3L injectors and a 4.3L TB with a Camaro cam and 1.6 rockers.

You can go to www.tbichips.com and they will make you a chip if you want. But you should mention that it has to pass emissions aswell because it might effect how they program it.

well thats good to hear because i have emission testing in my home town and i want to be able to drive my truck every day. ive just seen alot of post on ppl saying that it wont pass emissions and all this so i needed to make sure i would be ok.
