  • AN-6 fittings for 3X00 fuel rails

For anyone who may be interested, we are making fittings that fit the 3100/3400 fuel rails and have an AN-6 male end. They are made from stainless and will allow you to use a remote FPR and braided hoses.

    Some of the advantages are:
    1) More choices of FPRs
    2) Braided hoses are strong, abrasion resistent and look great
    3) More plumbing options
    4) Both sides of the fuel rail can be fed for high HP/flow applications
    5) If the return is plumbed from the FPR, the fuel isn't heated by the fuel rail before going back to the tank

I am sure Ben will have them in the store when they are finished.

Might want to also consider making an adapter for an electronic fuel pressure gauge. I spent days looking for this thing (-6AN female to 1/8" NPT female). Finally found one from Casper's and one from NOS, just really difficult to find, particulary for the shrader.

We have finished turning the fittings and are waiting on the brackets for the return side fitting. They are made for 303 stainless so they can be polished and won't rust. Here's a couple pics of their progress. I also have some braided lines coming and will post a pic of them installed when they get here.

Thanks guys... These were originally designed for RWD swaps but I thought there may be some interest with the FWD guys. They do open up options regarding fuel supply. I am hoping to have the brackets next week and will send some to Ben when I get them.

Hey I have product idea if you are interested it is very similar. Make adaptors for the Saginaw Flare fitting to AN. GM uses them everywhere on fuel lines and power steering lines. I need some 14mm and 16mm ones in stainless right now. Earls has aluminum only.

Maybe you can answer this for me too. Everyone in automotive calls them AN fittings. But are they the same angle as a regular flare fitting?

I'm always interested in new items.

I think that someone already makes that adapter in steel or stainless and will try to see if I remember where I saw them.

IIRC.... the regular flare fitting (also called inverted flare fitting) has a 45 degree seal area and the AN series uses 37 degrees.

Are these the ones you are looking for? Not stainless but they are steel. The pic in the catalog shows an o-ring on the 617-4806 fitting but the webpage doesn't.

Yup thats the one. Hmm I will see what my parts store sells. I am sure they sell Earls but I am scared of aluminum cracking. Steel would be ok. And they say they are for Flare which is what I am really looking for.

They are finished now and some are on their way to Ben for the store. I picked up a couple of hoses and took a pic so everyone could see what they look like installed. I know that I am biased, but I think they look pretty good.
