I want to replace my stock 2.8L carberator that is in my 85 Jeep Cherokee with something other than stock; ie Holley, Edelbrock, Weber. I don't know where to start or what to look for.

Hey. Hit up s-series.org There are tons of guys there with new carbs. Most runnig the Weber and a few running the Holley.

There are several Citation guys who have swapped to the edlebrok 4-barrel intake and Holley 390 carb with good results. There are also people who have modified the stock 2-barrel carb intake to use a 500cfm Holley 2-barrel. Both carbs seem to really pick up the top end power on the 2.8's. I agree that s-series.org is probably the biggest concentration of knowledge on the subject.
