  • 93 s10 2.8 problem

alright a few weeks ago my truck was running funny and felt like it was getting any power and would cut out at certain throttle point and it was the fuel pump that was wrong with it but now its doing something weird again, actually the same thing, after it gets warm or is running for a few minutes. it will start to bog down after about one quarter throttle. it wont die but will lurch forward real bad when letting the clutch outor when you floor it out of gear it will miss really bad had sound like only a few cylinders are firing. it was doin this before the fuel pump went out and now its doing the same thing after i put a brand new fuel pump in it. i checked the timing, replaced the plugs and wires and now im just out of ideas. Do you guys have any ideas of what i might have overlooked or anyother ideas.
    Thanks

Since it isn't on your list, did you change the fuel filter?

Ok now that the tune up parts are out of the way you need to check or replace the O2 sensor and ECT sensor. Since yours is a warm running problem that would suggest that it is a closed loop operating problem. This is the point were the O2 sensor gets hot enough for the ECM to begin reading it and making fuel trim changes. So check it with a scan tool or replace it (never with a Bosch part) if it is getting old. The ECT sensor is in the intake manifold right at the front nad has a yellow and black wire. Remove it and test it with an ohm meter it needs to read 3400 ohms at 21*C (70*F)
