  • High idle after 65mm TB install

Just replaced the throttle body with the 65mm from "The Store". Now I've got the crazy high idle myself as soon as I started the car!!!! Went and got a new IAC and installed that, no difference! Been at this a couple of hours now....any help??

When I run HP Tuners I can force the IAC to 0 and it will drop the idle from 4500 to 3500. Don't know if I am attempting the reset right. If I take the IAC out and try the reset, what's with having it in a bag?? What am I looking for?

If its idling that high, you have a vacuum leak somewhere. It could be that the throttle plate isn't closed all the way.

As far as having the IAC in a bag, its because they are known to shoot the pintle out of the body and send pieces everywhere.

I install all the throttle plates myself now for the throttlebodies, and I check them for the seal as well as setting the throttle stop so it doesn't wedge the plate. Glad you got it fixed with the IAC relearn

I agree they are a great add on for the price. I currently have 9,000 miles on mine and haven't had any problems.
