I am having almost the same problem as the other guy.. i got the left side of the motor mixed up and had a long pushrod where i short one went..
Now my problem is a lil different.. i can start my car, sometimes only if i have on bolt from the egr out letting air throught that hole, if i put the bolt back it wont even start.. (learned that by accident).. but it seems like its idling HELLA high and its pushing ALOT of air out the exaust end and if i put the bolt back in after its started it runs a a lil better but not like it should.. i dont have any ticking really except for the rockers a lil its torqued down to 18 ft/lbs but still have a lil click... but i have no idea what steps to take from here
