  • Problem FIXED.....

I been trying to figure out a problem with my 2.8 litre for a while now, replacing a couple sensors along the way unsuccessfully. It would sometimes stall at idle or upon deceleration and I kinda lived with it. It goes worse though, when it to started to stumble and hesitate real badly upon acceleration and would also not restart when hot. I pulled the plenum, ohm'ed out the injectors and found one at 11.1 ohms and another two injectors at 9.5 ohms. I believe the spec is 12.1 ohms. I replaced all 3 and the car runs fantastic! Perhaps I had one injector out of spec for a while causing my intermittent problems too.

As long as you feel comfortable pulling the plenum, its an easy test to do before replacing a dozen parts along the way trying to track down a drivability problem. Thanks for all your help along the way!

11.1 is usually ok, or at least the 11.5 ones I have ran were all good. 9.5 ohms however is low and was probably going bad and also possibly screwing with the ECM. Glad you got it fixed
