Lately it has taken about 4 to 5 sparks before my engine eventually cranks, Is it time for a new starter? or is this something else?

could be a weak battery. my dad's camaro did that all the time(because it was hardly ever driven and the batt would drain) usually just needed a jump start if it was really bad or a new battery.

maybe something to look at if you haven't already.

if it clicks, the starter solonoid is toast, meaning its time for a new starter.

Is the engine turning over and just not firing, or is it clicking then the engine turns over and then fires?

If it's the first then you may just need new spark plugs or have weak voltage.

If it's the later one then the starter has issues. You could nab a 3400 starter if it will fit your application as they are lighter weight, smaller and I think more powerfull.
