Does the rear suspension have to get dropped as well?!?! The two bolts that hold the tank straps are directly above the rear suspension member, and there is no way to remove them. Any ideas, guys?

usually you do have to lower the suspension to get the tank out. I've always seen the rear end jacked up on jack stands then the suspension lowered on a separate jack to make sure its is evenly supported while the tank is dropped. Really not that hard with the right equipment.

Un bolt the the front of the straps and the tank will fall, Disconnect the vent line, the filler hose, the Cansiter purge line up top, The exhaust might ha ve to be lowerd to reomve the heat shield, fuel inlet , fuel filter, and the connector. DO NOT UNBOLT THE SUSPENSION.Lorenzo
