  • 3.4 rebuild help...please!

I bought a 3.4 pushrod motor that came out of a 95 camaro. it's got 100,00+ on the clock. I've already stripped most of down to clean it up and replace a few things. question is, while i'm tearing it apart, what should i deffinately replace? crankshaft, camshaft? pistons and rings are a must i think. water pump of course and oil pump. what's the best source for replacement parts. i'm not looking to get any more out of the engine than in it's stock state though. just want to drop it in once!

You don't have to replace any of the parts as long as they are still in spec. I didn't replace my pistons they were still perfect.

Replace the rigs for sure and replace all the bearings. Thats all you really "should" do. The rest depend on the condition of the parts. On that 3.4L pay close attension to the condition of the cam lobes. They are often worn down.
