    I've got a 96 Lumina with rear drum brakes. I'm going to replace the shoes and linings, but it has some type of single spring design that I've never seen before. I guess theres a special tool that you use to take the pressure off of the spring, but I don't have one. Has anybody that has done these before give me some tips?

    2: I would check to see if Autozone rents the tool. They have a lot of weird odds and ends as far as tools go...

      I think they have a drum brake tool kit, do they not?
