Don't forget to clean out the bolt holes and threads where the head bolts go into the block. Have a box of Q-tips on hand. I've heard too many horror stories of blocks cracking from the hydraulic pressure of oil and coolant down in the block passages when it couldn't escape...not sure if this V6 is as prone to it, but it's better safe than sorry.
