I have a 1999 Grand Am that is having a serious cooling system problem. The coolant is leaking into the oil pan! The garage replaced the manifold seals, took apart the heads - everything is a-ok. I've paid the garage plenty of $$ but they don't want to deal with this problem anymore. Any ideas? Anyone know of a good garage in the Toronto/Mississauga area?

Well they sure as hell didn't do the job right. It is a common problem on these cars but it is completly curable with the new gaskets and a person with half a mind. I have done tons of intake replacements on thses engines between fixing this common leak and removing intakes to do cam swaps and the like.
Never had one leak yet. It is really a simple job if you put all the parts back and torque the bolts correctly.
If you want you can take the shop to small claims. Get them to pay for a dealer to do it. A dealer won't do it under good will anymore because someone has messed with it and now its up to you. If you want to go to small claims you are going to have to get a dealer to write a letter explaining how the job was done wrong. It should be quite evident once the intake comes off. This process has been done with sucess before. At least over in BC.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
