  • stupid coolant lines

ok, i've been reading the forum for some time now but this is my first time posting:

I want to replace my thermostat with a 180*; however, thanks to some brilliant guy at GM, I have to remove the throttle body. Under the throttle body there are two coolant lines and a little bracket thingy holding them to the TB. How do I get these things out? They have the little metal clamp thingy which I loosen and move out of the way but they don't budge at all, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT: BTW, i have a 2002 grand prix with a 3100 SFI

Easy way is to cut the hoses and then replace.

I bypassed my TB heater, and then I chopped the stupid part of the TB off so the bypass hose isnt interfering with the TB.

i agree with just replacing them. I had to cut mine off when I did my thermostat the first time too.
