my 3.1 will not start in the morining when it is below 35, what could be the problem? it cranks fine, but sounds like only one cylinder is firing and sometimes it backfires.

Well it could be a number of things.
Bad compression, bad o2, gummed fuel injectors, bad fuel regulator, bad fuel pump. Do you know it the coils are fireing on every cylinder? Do you know if the fuel pressure is low, or are you getting a wet dead fire and lot of fuel smell though the muffler.
A faulty map can cause wierd things to. Any service engine soon light??I am back

the compression is ok, so is the fuel pump and regulator, i just cleaned the injectors, when the car starts easy after it is warm it runs great (except the map problem) the map sensor is bad, but yes the service engine light does come on sometimes after a hard start, and then it runs like crap for a while. i have smelled fuel from the exhaust before when it starts hard.
