  • Coolant leak question

Hello, I have a 96 Grand Prix Se with a 3100 V6 with 145,00 miles on it. I am experiencing a coolant leak that appears to be coming from the just behind the power steering pump, right where the intake manifold, the front head and the top of the block all come together, and flowing behind the water pump and dripping on the ground. Any ideas on what this might be?

    Thanks!

    Ed

The most common problem on the 3100.

Change the intake manifold gaskets discussed a million times on this forum.

The updated gaskets are avalible from GM. And use your standard RTV to seal teh manifold ends. There is also revised torque specs for the bolts and loctite needs to be applied
