  • Fuel Line Fittings

Just a question I had -6 regular union fittings welded to the ends of the feed and return lines coming up the frame rail where the stock rubber lines then run to the fuel rails for my 3.1 s/c last year. I had braided SS lines replacing the stock rubber Anyways welds weren't done too well so they have a slight leak. I already have -6 AN ends on the end of the two fuel lines coming from the fuel rails which are ok. So I was wondering if I can use these for the other side as I already have them at home and I sure don't feel like pulling the underbody fuel lines so I can re weld the fittings on there. I've seen a few people use them on steel lines but the catalogues list them for the aluminum tube only.

Another option is to get a standard brass compression fitting and a short piece of line and reweld the AN fitting on the end and just hook up that 3-4" long line with a compression fitting to the hard lines as an extension.
