    ok i have a 93 pontiac grand prix se with a tilt steering wheel does anyone know how to change out the igniton lock cylinder without a pivot pin puller or does anyone know where to get one?

    You will need one.

    GM has them for sure.

    I got mine changed out for 75 bucks. If a lock smith can remove it for 35 then a mech can put one in for labor cost if you buy the part.

    30-50 for a new lock. takes minutes to put in. 1 hour minimum labor at most places.

      This page illustrates one way to remove the pivot pins without the special tool. It illustrates a Fiero tilt column but it should be very similar to your cars. Rigging up some kind of a slide hammer could work too.

        It would go faster with the tool and it is not expensive, and there is less risk.

        I recommend the tool as it saves time there for money.

          got her done i used a bolt nut and washer and it worked perfect only took 30 minutes

            Well I was thinking this morning at work along that line, but I always cover my arse.

            I was trying to think up a way to grabe it flush.
