As Ludacris says, if you don't like it blow our your "hole".

Exactly what my engine is doing. I have Bosch +4 plats in my engine and it keeps blowing them out, it was one back middle one, well it stopped. Now its the back right one, and it has doen it 2 times in a day. The ole is stripped, helicoils is what has been suggested to me, that the best solution? How hard is getting the head off? I saw the explanation on the site, but I need one with pictures, I will do this but I am trying to learn AS MUCH as possible before I do.

Also on my engine there is a pipe that wraps from the front around the right side into the back. It is 2 parts welded together *top and bottom* and there is a split in it mid way thru the right side. What problems will this cause? Should I just throw some JB weld on it?

Yes you need to helicoil the heads. Infact you should do it to all the heads. Helicoil threads will last longer than aluminum.

Bring along some real money! Local GOOD and TRUSTED machine shop wants $40. per plug. Cheaper to go get a junk yard head, assuming you can find one that does not require expensive work.

Musta pulled the plugs out with the head hot. Ludicris. Gotta respect Aluminum. Heli-coils suck....

Heli coils dont suck. They are stronger than the aluminum threads and are often installed on high performance heads that are brand new

The current summit catalog has a kit consisting of a special reaming tap, an expanding tool and 3 inserts for 29.95.
It's made by the heli-coil company but it is a threaded insert.
Looks like I will buy a kit and some extra inserts to replace one of my hole threads TOO!

I discovered that I have a bad hole. I ordered a threader and some extra inserts from SUMMIT. I will post how the procedure goes when I do my head.
