  • help!!! 2.8L cuttlass bogs fuel pressure reg. bad????

    i went through 4.5 gallons of gas in about 40-50 miles and the car smells like its running rich. it runs good in spirt but usually when u floor it or give it any reasonable abount of gas it falls on its face and stumbles like crazy (bogs) i have less problems at highway speeds but someone suggeted to me it could be the fuel pressure regulator?? please help me out

      It could be. But in most cases a regulator fails and leaks pressure and system pressure will drop.

      I would look into leak injectors or faulty sensors. But it never hurts to test the fuel pressure.

        Actually, many regulators have the diaphragm rupture and leak fuel into the vacuum system... I've had that one happen before. Just pull the vacuum line from the FPR and see if there's fuel coming out..
