  • mayday!Some odd ball problems with a 94 corisca 3100

My grandmothers Corsica is on the fritz. Here is the list of what it does

Crank it up it won't fire.Turn off, crank again, nothing, turn off, crank again fires and revs up like normal and doesn't return to idle.just falls off and dies.Fire up again does the same,Fire up again with foot to floor fires and stays running till you let totally out.Turn off crank again, starts but runs on half the cylinders and stays running.Turn off, recrank and it runs on all 6 idles right but you stab the go peddle and it has a 2 second hesitation.

Ever since she got this car it has idled WAAAAAY high. You can do 45MPH without touching the go peddle.

The above can come in any conbination. Some times it will crank and run on 3Cylinders,sometimes it will crank fine, other times you get a looooong drawn out assortment of the above.

Now here is what we have done so far(per some really crappy mechanics and me).

Checked fuel pressure(OK),Replaced computer(no change),replaced CPS(no change),replace entire coil pack and controler plate(no change),hooked to 2 computer system(no codes-WTF! )Well, last mechanic we took it to has had it over a month and we call about ever 3 or 4 days and he keeps saying he is working on it.Well, the car has sat in teh same exact spot, behind some other cars for 3 weeks and we are taking it somewhere else.Is there anything I can flag to the next Grease monkey?

You've taken it to a couple mechanics and none of them has checked the plugs or wires? Or perhaps the fuel filter? That's some of the places I would look.
