3.1 L-body mount question

92 beretta 3.1 3 speed auto

first off i have a nasty grinding noise when stopping in reverse on a grade....i would assume it is indicitive of a bad mount and putting pressure on the axle perhaps, or a cv joint....in anycase i was going to change my mounts as they are probably the originals....

Just wondering if anybody attempted to install a non hydraulic mount in their L body, or other 60* application?

i was thinking of doing this, and maybe adding some poly into the rubber non-oem mount....any thoughts on this, bad good, dont know perhaps?

the one on my 86 cavalier is just a dogbone. your talking the one from the tranny going to the front of the car right? i dunno if its the right length, but if you can weld you could make one for next to nothing.
