When I got my cone intake for the car I had to modify this tube in order for it to fit in the hole of the intake tube. Since then I had wondered why there was this separate tube that connected the intake to the rear valve cover. It seemed like air would be flying into the rear valve cover.. I looked inside the TB and it was dirty/oily as hell...and I figured it to be like that because the tube runs from the valve cover of course.

I cleaned out the tube and it was very oily in there too, and I thought to myself it obviously cannot be good for oil to be flying into the TB, even if it was little bits at a time. I thought if that tube wasn't there the TB, and the air going into the engine, would probably be a lot cleaner, but the tube was there for a reason, so I just left it and modified it to fit the intake.

Anyway, it was just weird to me because I had never seen a tube like that as part of the ventilation system.

i didnt want to start a new thrad for some stupid ?'s.

since my motor is a junkyard special, it didnt come with some stuff, like the alt, starter, and ac copressor.

does anyone know off hand, or by anyother means, what the bolt dimensions are for the ones holding the alternator in, and the starter. Do they have to be high grade or can i just go to ACE hardware?
