  • smoke-steam... help?

well i was cleaning my coolant system today and i finished and started the car topped off the system, as i was waiting for it to warm up so i could bleed the air out the lines, i walked around to the rear of my car and noticed that there was smoke coming from my tail pipe, i was like great, i get closer it was more like steam and was leaving condensation on my rear bumper. it was about 60 degrees outside when i noticed it, so it was too warm for the normal steam in cold weather. and my car was a little warm, if any of that info helps. and then i took my car out and drove around for 5 minutes, came back home and it was no longer doing it.
does anyone know if this is a problem? or is it something i shouldn't worry about?

Depends on what you cleaned the cooling system with. Hopefully nothing caustic. Probably not a problem, since it cleared up fast. If it comes back on cold start, you may have caused a gasket leak. Keep an eye on it.
If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

i just took off the hoses and flushed it out with a water hose, then refilled it with new coolant.

Doesn't sound serious, just keep an eye on it. Especially on cold start.

i don't think anything real serious is wrong. i'm pretty hard on the engine, and it has 136K miles.
but if something serious is wrong then i will just have to go with the 3400
