My friend and I did almost the same thing to his celica with a 22R engine in it (it was going to be crushed anyway, rotted to hell). It ran at full throttle for about 30 minutes before we got bored and drained the oil. It lasted another few minutes, seized up, we poured the oil back in, and it ran fine, idled perfectly... didnt even smoke. We ended up taking it up a trail into the woods and ended up shattering the chassis launching it off a knoll. Good times had by all!
