Motor is in a 77 MGB, yes it is fast. Engine management is via an old GM system so the VVT was removed. There is a lot of valvetrain noise, sort of like it has mechanical lifters or a hydraulic one is failing. Has anyone else removed the VVT and experienced this? If not I will be tearing the manifold off and investigating in a few months, right now it has smaller stuff to address and it is just too much fun to drive!
