I was wondering which locktie (I have some "242") and which RTV I should use for this job?

Red Loctite any oil resistant gasket maker that you get at your parts store.
Please stop making new posts for every different question about your gasket change. it makes it really hard to follow. Just continue your thread that you started.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

I agree with the above.
But as I said in a different post(I think it was your's), don't use any gasket sealer on the intake manifold gaskets, they don't need it. Trust me, all it does is make them a REAL pain in the ass to remove the next time. I couldn't even pry mine off. I had to use my hoist to get it off. Also, don't overtighten them. They strip easy, and they seal better if just tightened properly(20ft lbs IIRC).

You MUST follow the torque specs, and in sequence. RTV is not needed on the gaskets but is of course needed on the ends of the manifold. Extend your bead 1/4" up each head to make sure you have good overlap.
We all think Aaron used epoxy last time because all you ever need to break RTV off of an intake manifold is a small pry bar.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

No I didn't use epoxy, it was RTV gasket sealer. And the small prybar didn't work. Fuck the big prybar didn't work. Then again, there aren't many places to get a prybar in with a 3.4L TDC, maybe on a 3.1...
You don't need RTV sealer AT ALL IMO. As long as you follow the torque specs and in sequence(like he said), they will seal just fine.
