  • Many things need fixing...

Well, next month I'm driving my Cutlass home, 1200 miles back to Green Bay. Its going to stay there while I deploy to Iraq and then went I get back, I'm installing the L67 engine I bought. But anyway, right now I am in the middle of fixing some things on the car before the trip. I need to replace the thermostat, replace the strut mount, and finish replacing the spark plug wires, I ran outta time[8|]. I also need to reinstall my satellite radio antenna, because I broke the wire to the old one. First question is where do you think the best place is to run the wires for the satellite radio? Its gonna be installed on the roof, so the wires need to go from there, to the trunk, to the dash. Also, my strut, its been making a loose clanging sound. I replaced it about 18 months ago, and the strut is still tight, it only bounces once. I'm guessing its the strut mount, whats the best way to replace that? Any tips on how to do the thermostat. I got the wimpy 3100. I also just installed a cone air filter, I used a kit meant for a civic and cut it to size. I can't find a coupling that fits perfectly though for the throttle body to intake pipe. Also, what is the best way to fit that sensor, seeing as how now it is taped in until I find a better way.

yeah for the strut mount you need to remove the strut ofcoarse then compress the spring to get the mount off it is a bitch if its your first time and when i did it i had to take it somewhere to compress the spring cause the compressor we got from autozone sucked
i would route the wires for the satilite radio under the headlinner and go up and down the a pillars
the thermostat is easy just drain a little coolant into a container then remove the thermostat housing and eplace the thermostat on a 3100 you may also have to remove the air cleaner to throttle body hose to get to it though
for mounting the sensor just drill a hole for it in the cai pipe and mount it in there
      hope this all helps
