i have a 87 z24 obviously and i snaped my intermediate shaft what can i do? can i convert it to use 1990 cv shafts and not use the shaft?

If I were you, I'd just pull one from a junkyard.

How on earth did you snap that thing anyway? It's a frigging chunk of steel!

I installed the motor but the clutch yolk was holding the throwout bearing wrong. So when i pulled the motor back out it cought and snaped.Funny how i did not even know i had one my 1990 5 speed did not have one.
the only z24 around in a junk yard is my old one a 88 auto it is not interchangable is it?

The intermiadte shaft (axle) is steel. Are you refering to the outer casing that is on some 5-speed trannies that enshrouds the intermediate shaft?

Yes i am sorry for confusing the shaft for the housing. it is also a 5 speed
